- VP Finance Reporting to the CEO, Digg is looking for a VP, Finance in our San Francisco office with responsibilities for the following functions: financial planning, financial statements, control environment, audit management, management of the Finance functions (including Sales/Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Risk Management). This position will be responsible to oversee a finance team of three full-time employees.
- Responsibilities
- The VP Finance is responsible for taking a leading role in partnering with the Executive Team on business direction and strategy, financial planning and analysis, cost containment, liaison to the Board of Directors/investors as well as external auditors and banking relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Cash flow and P&L management and financial forecasting a must
- Manage 409(A) stock option valuation process with third party valuation company
- Prepare and distribute Board of Directors presentations including monthly waterfall reports
- Oversee stock option plan including option grants, approvals and maintenance of Cap table
- Manage expense reduction plans and communicate on a monthly basis to executive team owners of P&L line items
- Hands-on management of month end revenue calculations and oversee client billing, credit and collections process
- Manage and oversee financial accounting function including: month-end expense close, accruals, general ledger, payroll and property tax filings, risk management (general liability insurance, D&O, E&O, foreign insurance) and policy maintenance, bank financial reporting, fixed asset process management, accounts payable process management, expense reporting policies and payroll.
- Manages audit process with external auditors
- Manage outside legal counsel include general counsel, patent/trademark and immigration attorneys
- Office lease negotiations (including sub-lease of existing space)
